About the Course The Fine Art of Moment Photography: capturing real life in your wedding & portrait photography Paul will
share his secrets to capturing great moments and working simply and quickly. His wide-ranging photojournalism experiences acquired over more than two decades of work have become distilled into his unique approach to
wedding photography that values the beauty of natural moments, simple and effective portraiture on the wedding day and the use of on-camera flash to create light that looks natural and inviting.

About the Instructor Paul is a documentary photographer who shoots commissioned weddings and portraits. Prior to this, he spent nearly 20 years in daily journalism
– shooting literally thousands of assignments ranging from Presidents to paupers, and everything from documentary essays, to lit portraits to dynamic action photographs - first on staff for The
Chicago Tribune (in Chicago and in the paper's Washington, DC bureau), then as a contract photographer for the French photo agency Sygma in DC, and finally he spent 12 years on staff with the Arizona Republic in Phoenix. He also has freelanced extensively for magazines such as Time,
People, US News & World Report and Sports Illustrated. In addition to his photography he currently teaches two courses at betterphoto.com and is the author of the book, Digital Wedding Photography. Paul is a member of the Fuji Talent Team as well as a a Canon Explorer of Light, and Lexar Elite Photographer. His web
